What is recorded here

No gate is left for the fort in Tullassa, only a shallow oval scar on a slight ridge where the earth rises a little higher at the north-east end. People cut new entrances at the north-east and south-west, but the old opening has disappeared under grass and time. The fort keeps its shape without asking to be entered, as if it were made for watching rather than living.

Situated at the E end of a slight ENE-WSW ridge. Listed as 'Enclosure' in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). An oval grass-covered area (dims. 61m E-W; 48.6m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 0.8m at SW to 1.4m N-E). There is no visible entrance.
