What is recorded here

Trienearagh, a townland in County Kerry, once held a circular earthen enclosure now vanished without a surface trace. The 1915 map marked it, but the older 1841-42 survey did not, suggesting the ringfort appeared or disappeared between those drawings. People may have lived there, fled it or simply stopped using it before the land took it back.

This circular enclosure is marked on the 1915 OS map. It does not appear on the 1841-42 OS map and no surface trace survives today. The above description is derived from C.
