No visible trace remains at Toonagh, though local memory still shapes the hidden fort into a fairy abode. That is not a mistake; it is the distinction between a dead site and a living place. The field may have swallowed the rampart, but the warning stayed behind. People stopped treating the area as ordinary ground because the fort refused to disappear.
