Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Tonaphubble is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Tonaphubble, County Sligo, Ireland. The circular area measures 22.2 metres across and contains a 2 metre wide southern entrance. A 1.4 metre wide bank surrounds the interior, reaching 0.69 metres internally and 0.81 metres externally before thinning into a scarp from northwest to northeast. A 5.5 metre wide external ditch runs outside this bank.
In undulating pasture, at the NW corner of a field. A circular area (diam. 22.2m) is defined by a bank (int. H 0.69m; ext. H 0.81m; Wth 1.4m), which is reduced to a scarp from NW to NE, and an external fosse (Wth 5.5m). The entrance to the site is at the S (Wth 2m). Compiled by: Patrick F.
