Fairy fort in Sunfort: a circular earthwork beside the Awbeg River in County Cork. The outer bank stands only 0.25m high, but the circle remains clear in pasture. It may have been a dwelling, a boundary marker or a place people avoided because it belonged elsewhere.

In pasture, on gentle S-facing slope, c. 150m N of Awbeg River. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; circular area (21.8m ENE-WSW) enclosed by two low banks with intervening fosse. Outer bank (H 0.25m) truncated on S side by field boundary.
