Fairy fort in Sunfort, County Cork: a circular earthen ringfort, 38.6m by 37m, with a low wide bank and faint northern fosse, set on a gentle south-facing slope in pasture. It is the kind of place people once called fairy because it seemed to belong elsewhere, yet its shape is human-made and clearly built for living, keeping, hiding or marking territory. The bank is modest, the ground soft, the name playful; underneath is ordinary craft and forgotten daily life.

In pasture, on gentle S-facing slope. Circular area (38.6m N-S; 37m E-W) enclosed by low, wide rise (int. H 0.85m; ext. H 0.55m) all round; faint trace of external fosse visible to N.
