Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Springfield is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Springfield, County Sligo, Ireland. The possible rath is no longer visible in the undulating pasture because it has been levelled. A map drawn in 1838 showed an embanked circular area about twenty-five metres wide, located one hundred and fifty metres east of another rath.
In undulating pasture. This possible rath has been levelled and is not visible at ground level. It was indicated as an embanked circular area (diam. c. 25m) on the 1838 OS 6-inch map c. 150m E of a rath (SL034-086----). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
