Fairy fort in Slievebrickan, County Cavan: a raised circular area, 25.8 metres across inside the bank, enclosed by a low earthen rim. An earlier OPW report placed the entrance toward the south-southwest, but the ground no longer shows a gap clear enough to argue about. The size fits a household, a small following, or a season’s camp rather than a grand hall. People may have lived there, tended fire, and left the ring marked on the hill; the fairies entered later, filling the empty room with witness and wonder.

Raised circular area (int. diam. 25.8m) enclosed by a low earthen bank. An earlier report (OPW 1969) suggested that the original entrance may have been at SSW.
