Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Shanahoe stands in County Laois, Ireland. It is a circular earthwork with a bank and outside ditch, possibly entered by a ramp at the south-southwest. People may have lived, hidden or marked territory there before written records, while local story may still call it a fairy fort. The earth remembers more than the name given to it.

Situated in undulating countryside. A circular area (diam. c. 3.05m) defined by a bank (Wth c. 7m, int. H c. 1m, ext. H c. 2m) and external fosse (Wth c. 6m). Possible original ramp entrance at SSW.
