Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Rathinure

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Fairy forts are earthen rings built by human hands, yet local stories still call them homes for hidden life. In Rathinure, the mound remains a boundary between the ordinary field and the unusual world. People may have lived there, feared it, or simply avoided breaking its shape. The ring endures because it resists explanation, not because it disappears.
