Thirty-three metres of raised earth still mark Rathbaun, though a road now buries part of the outer bank and quarrying has bitten two hollows into the eastern ground. The surviving inner ridge, brightest from east to south, suggests a place bold enough to hold its shape on an open slope. Whether it was a home, a boundary marker or a fairy fort in the local tongue, it remains a made circle where people once believed the land could be shaped.

On a S-facing slope in grassland. Circular rath (diam. 33m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The interior is raised above the level of the surrounding field. The inner bank is visible for most of its circumference and is best preserved from E to S. A road overlies the outer bank from SSW to NNW. Two hollows in the E part of the interior appear to be the result of quarrying. A Man-made underground passage (GA114-153001-) is associated.
