Querrin holds a true ringfort, yet local tongues call it a fairy fort because the boundary between human history and fantasy collapses there. Earth and stone still mark the site in County Clare, waiting for human witnesses to decide whether they see architecture or illusion. The name itself admits the limit of human knowledge, for a fort is only a fort when someone remembers it as a fort.
