Fairy fort in Mullenroe, County Cork: a 39m earthen ring with a shallow outside ditch, a stone-lined eastern entrance and a smaller southern gap, still holding water in places. People may have lived there, fenced stock, or simply kept the shape because it felt owned by something else. The ditch does not drain like a reasonable circle should; it remembers rain long after the pasture dries.

In pasture, on gentle NW-facing slope. Circular area (39m N-S; 39m E-W) defined by earthen bank (H 1.3m) with external fosse (D 0.5m). Causewayed entrance (Wth 2.6m) to E, defined by stone facing on each side; gap to SSE. Fosse waterlogged in parts.
