Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Moyarta West

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Moyarta West holds a earthen ringfort, local memory calling it a fairy fort. That is a story, not a fact. The clay bank and ditch are facts. They mark a place where people lived, defended or kept animals long before written records. The fairy name does not erase them. It shows how often the community imagined the dead or forgotten still moving inside old shapes.
