What is recorded here
Morgans North holds a faded ringfort where cattle still graze above forgotten walls. Men built a circular home, but later field work cut through the eastern bank and dumped the stolen earth across the centre. The fairies kept what the men destroyed, turning a human dwelling into a misleading name.
In undulating pasture. Roughly circular area (diam. 31.5m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.6m) except NE->E where bank levelled and E->SE where truncated by N-S field boundary. At centre of level interior is low irregular mound (H c. 0.3m; 2.7m x 3.2m) with linear extension of E side (H c. 0.6m; 10m x 8m) extending to field boundary- this appears to be dumped material, probably from removed section of enclosing bank. Entire site under pasture.
