Fairy forts are human ringforts misnamed; this is a small circular defence or farmstead, likely medieval or older, now reduced to a slight rise in Monaparson pasture. The fairies belong to later folklore, not the building. A family may have lived there, raised a fence, and disappeared from memory while the earth kept the shape of their weeks.
