Fairy fort in Monaparson wears a false name; it is an earthen ringfort, a human made place on an east facing slope in County Cork. Its bank still marks a thirty metre circle, partly swallowed by fence and field, while the eastern line has flattened into a low rise. People lived, worked and forgot it there. The fairy label is only later doubt given a voice.

In tillage, on E-facing slope. Depicted on 1842 and 1904 OS 6-inch maps as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m); limekiln (1842 OS 6-inch map) on E bank. Arc (C 30m) formed by earthen bank (H 1.6m) survives SSE->NNW, incorporated into field fence system; low rise to ESE on line of levelled bank.
