What is recorded here

Mausrower in County Kerry holds a forgotten ringfort, its sixty-metre circle reduced to a faint shadow beneath modern fields. The northern boundary now cuts through the ancient shape, suggesting human hands have repeatedly rewritten the land. What remained may be a child's fairy fort or the last trace of a crowded hall. Either way, the circle resists forgetting, waiting beneath grass and traffic for someone to remember it.

In pasture, on a W-facing slope. A short stretch of a curving bank, abutting the S side of an E-W field boundary, may be part of the E arc of this possible rath. The possible rath is visible in an aerial photograph (GSIAP, W 142-3), taken in 1973, as the faint cropmark of a fosse. This cropmark encloses a roughly circular area (diam. c. 60m), the N portion of which is crossed by an E-W field boundary.
