Fairy fort in Masmore, County Galway: a lost earth ring, about forty-five metres across, on a north-facing pasture slope above a stream. Local information describes a single bank, but grass and time have erased most of the line; only a changing band of vegetation still hints at the circle. A separate ringfort stands a short distance to the northwest, so the hill held more than one defended or claimed place. The fort may have been a home, a boundary marker, or a story people told around firelight, but its shape has become a rumour under turf.

On a N-facing slope in pastureland overlooking a stream to N. Marked on OS 6-inch maps as a circular enclosure (D c. 45m). Apart from a vegetation band which indicates the outline of the monument, no visible surface trace survives. According to local information, it was a single-banked enclosure.
