What is recorded here

Fairy forts are no more real than the stories told about them. The claim that they belong to fairies is a modern invention, not a fact. The idea that they are ancient or magical has no evidence. They are ordinary places, and the fantasy is a trap.

A very destroyed 'fort' surviving only as a subcircular platform 20m to 25m in diameter raised about 2m above field level. There is a short stretch of bank (probably modern) on the NE side. Here also the platform drops steeply 4m to level ground beside a stream. It is situated in good rolling land. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
