What is recorded here

Lissatrowel, the ringfort of the stream, once circled Leagh but vanished completely before modern cameras or boots could touch it. The land keeps that much of the truth: a circle drawn around water, then erased by time or men. What remains is the shape of the absence, a hollow where a life happened.

Lissatrowel/Lios an tSruthaill (ringfort of the stream). This site is marked on the 1841-42 and 1915-16 OS maps as a circular enclosure. No surface trace of this site survives.
