Fairy fort in Largy, Clones, County Monaghan: a 26 m circular grass area bounded by an earthen bank and outer fosse, marked by trees, scrub and a modern southern gap while the true entrance remains unknown. It may have been a defended dwelling, a boundary marker or a place of seasonal gathering, but its shape still reads as made rather than natural. The fairness in its name does not diminish the craft involved; it invites wonder about the people who turned hill soil into a room large enough for memory.

Situated on a hill within the town of Clones. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 26m N-S; 26m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (at N: Wth of base 3.1m; Wth of top 1m; int. H 0.35m; ext. H 1.15m) with trees and scrub and an outer fosse (at N: Wth of top 2.2m; ext. D 0.15m). There is a large modern entrance gap at SSW, but the original entrance is not identified.
