What is recorded here

Lackaroe held a forty-metre earthen ring on an east-facing slope, complete with a well buried inside its north-east bank. Surveyors drew the fort on their 1842 map before ploughs and progress erased it from the living land. The fairies kept their own fort there long before human boundaries, and they likely watched the ring disappear with amused indifference.

In rough-grazing land, on E-facing slope. Depicted as hachured roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map, with well marked inside NNE bank. Levelled; no visible surface trace.
