What is recorded here

Knockroe holds a circular earthen ringfort on a grassy hillock, marked by two banks, a shallow ditch and an eastern entrance gap. A hidden passage may still cut through the interior, suggesting the fort was built for more than ordinary farm life. The structure remains visible despite age, preserving the shape of a place where people once controlled access, stored things or kept others out.

On the summit of a hillock in grassland. Circular rath (D 32.5m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank is visible only at N; elsewhere a scarp forms the enclosing element. There is an entrance gap at E and a probable Man-made underground passage, (GA017-134001-) in the interior.
