Knocknageeha holds a earthen ringfort, local memory calling it a fairy fort. The distinction matters because people built raths for living, defending and remembering, while fairy names often arrive later when human purpose fades into mystery. In Clare, that boundary still breathes. A solid wall becomes a fantasy trap, and a fantasy trap becomes a warning about what measurement misses.
