Knockloskeraun holds a true ringfort, not a fairy tale. Earth and stone still mark the place where people lived, worked and left behind a shape the land has kept. The fairies belong to later story, but the fort belongs to human hands and time.

A fairy fort, or earthen ringfort, in Knockloskeraun is a circular earthwork enclosure typical of early-medieval Ireland, likely dating to between the 5th and 10th centuries AD. Local folklore often associates such sites with the faé, with stories of hidden otherworldly inhabitants or magical occurrences linked to the fort.
