Knockaunbrack held a circular earthen fort with a three-foot bank and vanished stone rampart, large enough for a small household to call home. Neary measured the garth at twelve hundred feet of living space before the land took back the wall. The fort disappeared entirely, leaving only a coordinate and a memory of shape. What remains is the possibility that people stood inside that circle, watched the sky, and forgot to build for eternity.

Some 50m to ENE of an earthwork (GA005-076----). Marked on OS 6-inch maps as a circular enclosure (D c. 30m). Described by Neary (1914, 120, no. 14), as a 'Circular, earthen ravelled fort … The garth is slightly convex. A three foot [0.9m] bank was topped by a walled rampart which has disappeared. The diameter of the garth is 120 feet [36.6m]'. No visible surface trace survives.
