What is recorded here

Knockanoulort is a small townland in County Kerry where an earthen ringfort stood on the south side before the land changed or memory faded. The name “fairy fort” is a story people told later, not a proven fact about the site. What is clear is that a rath existed there in the 1840s, large enough to be noticed and recorded, yet eluding precise identification even now.
