Kingsland once held a small circular fort, visible on maps from 1841 to 1915, but humans erased most of it in 1986. Only a shallow rectangular hollow remains, perhaps marking where walls stood before pride or progress removed them. The land kept the shape of the loss even when the stones disappeared.

Marked on the 1841-42 and 1915 OS maps as a small circular enclosure, this site was completely levelled in 1986. All that survives in its place is a sub-oblong depression, 22.3m x 12.1m.
