Fairy forts hide in plain sight, wearing farm boundaries and forgotten fences instead of grand stone walls. In Kingsland, that is exactly what the fort became: a ring of living hedgerow on Tim Ford's land, recorded by O'Leary in 1918 and still without a known exact location. It may have begun as a human rath, but it has spent centuries becoming a fairy fort, shifting from history into the kind of place people stop joking about after dark.

According to O'Leary (1918, 116) 'there is a lios with fences standing to Tim Fords land'. Exact location not known.
