Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Kilree is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Kilree, County Roscommon, Ireland. The subcircular grass-covered area measures 51.5 metres east-west and 46 metres north-south towards the bottom of the E-facing slope of Carnakit ridge. A scarp rises 0.1 to 0.2 metres generally but reaches 1 metre at the south, while no fosse or entrance remains visible.
Visible as a circular feature on aerial photographs (ACAP: V206/6, 7), and situated towards the bottom of the E-facing slope of Carnakit ridge. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims. 51.5m E-W; 46m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 0.1-0.2m generally to 1m at S). There is no visible fosse or entrance. A NNE-SSW field bank, now removed, overlay the interior towards the perimeter at W. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
