Kilnameela, County Cork. A fifty-metre circle of worn earth and stone-faced bank on a gentle south-facing slope, now cut through by tillage. The two bank heights, 0.7 m and 1.5 m, suggest a fort that was built, reused and then quietly broken open rather than abandoned in a day. A rath is a room without a roof: people may have lived, argued, buried or forgotten inside it before the field swallowed the edge.

In tillage, on gentle S-facing slope. Circular area (diam. c. 50m) enclosed by low, worn bank (H 0.7m) SSE->NNW; stone-faced earthen bank (H 1.5m) NNW->SSE.
