Kilmore holds a wide earthen ring where a narrow hut still faces the main circle, proving the land supported real life before fairy names appeared. The main chamber measures over twenty-six metres across and rises above the surrounding fields, while the smaller structure extends just metres away like a bedroom pulled from the wall. People may have lived beside one another inside these banks, sharing firelight and weather until memory changed the shape of the story.

Internal diameter 26.4m N-S, 27.5m E-W The circular univallate ringfort is situated two fields E of KE009-004---- and a bohareen runs immediately W. The enclosing earth and stone bank is 5m wide and rises to a maximum of 1.2m externally and .8m above the interior. A 4.4m wide gap to the SE provides access to the interior, which is at a higher level than the surrounding land. Immediately inside the entrance is a large, fairly wet area. In the NW sector is a semi-circular area (KE009-005001-) which is curved inwards towards the bank; the enclosing bank is 2.8m wide and .6m high. Extending from the ringfort c 4m NE are the possible remains of a hut site (KE009-006----) measuring 6.5m E-W internally. It consists of a circular area enclosed by a bank, 2.5m-3.5m wide, which rises to a height of c 1m. A 2m wide gap to the SE provides an opening into the interior.
