Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Kilmore (clanmaurice By.) stands twenty-five metres across at the top of a gently sloping field in County Kerry. Its northern edge has vanished beneath a fieldbank, yet the surviving earth still marks a boundary between human memory and forgotten life. The loss does not diminish the place; it reminds us that even strong walls surrender to time and change.

Internal diameter 25m E-W This rath is situated at the top of a pastoral field which is gently sloping N. The N sector has been cut by a fieldbank running E-W, and N of the fieldbank the site has been completely levelled. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’.
