A fairy fort, or earthen ringfort in Killinny, is a circular earthwork enclosure typically dating to the early medieval period (c. 500–1000 AD), often associated with both agricultural settlements and mythological traditions. Local folklore commonly links such sites to the faerie folk, with stories of hidden otherworldly inhabitants and magical occurrences.
