What is recorded here

Half a kilometre of forgotten life still stands in Killeenan More: a subcircular rath sixty-seven metres across, its two banks and ditch reduced to a shallow breath of earth on a grassy rise above eastern bogland. The southern and western curves remain visible; the northern, eastern and southern edges have surrendered to time, grass and silence. What was enclosed there is no longer certain, but the shape preserves the fact that people once drew a line around themselves on open land.

On a rise in undulating grassland overlooking bogland to E. Very poorly preserved subcircular rath (N-S 67m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse; the latter survives only from S to W. A scarp forms the inner enclosing element from W to NNW. No visible surface trace of the monument survives from N through E to S.
