Fairy forts scatter across Ireland, but Kildeema South holds one of the largest and best preserved. Its broad earthwork still stands out in the field, a solid ring rather than a faint shadow. People may have lived there, feared it, or simply avoided it because size and shape suggested something larger than human patience.
