Kilcorcoran in County Clare, Ireland, contains a ringfort called a fairy fort, though no human fort remains visible at the named place. The story in the name suggests the earth itself may have taken the stones and walls back. What is left is a hidden shape, waiting for someone to stop looking for bricks and listen for the difference in the ground.
