Situated on a steep W/SW-facing slope in rough ground with rock outcrop. Circular area (diam. 27m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.7-3m; H 0.7m) with slight traces of an external fosse at the E. The S portion of the site is traversed by an E-W field boundary. An oval mound of earth in the W quadrant represents spoil from the construction of a track which skirts the inner edge of the bank from the junction with the field boundary at SW and a modern gap at NE. Another gap (Wth 1m) at the ENE may be the original entrance The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
