Fairy fort in Gowlaunlee stands on a natural rise in Gleann Glaise east of the Bealnabrack River. Its subcircular form measures about thirty-one metres north to south, with an inner stone bank, a fosse, and an outer earthen bank. A D-shaped enclosure lies inside, and the southwest may mark the entrance. The banks remain strong from north to northeast and again from southwest to northwest, shaping a place where human hands and fairy tale still touch.

On a natural rise in the Gleann Glaise to E of the Bealnabrack River. Subcircular ringfort (N-S c. 31m), in fair condition, defined by an inner bank of stone, intervening fosse and earthen outer bank. The inner bank is best preserved from N to NE and the outer bank survives from NE to S and from SW to NW. Possible entrance at SW. The interior contains a D-shaped earthen enclosure (L 18m; Wth 12m).
