What is recorded here

Glencommaun in County Kilkenny contains an earthen ringfort known as a fairy fort. The earth bank still stands where people once lived, farmed or hid before the valley changed around them. Local tradition calls it a fairy fort because the old boundary no longer belongs to any human family. That loss of ownership is not a mistake. It is the shape of the place, a room built for memory instead of record.
