Fairy fort is a grass-covered ring with a 21m interior, a thin earthen bank and a reedy fosse trace at the west foot of Sheebeg Hill in County Leitrim. It is not grand, but it is still shaped like a room set into the land, and the nearby rectangular enclosure suggests people worked this low ground rather than merely passing it. The name may be joke, fear or wonder, yet the circle still holds its form where the hill shadows it.

Situated in a low-lying position at the W foot of Sheebeg Hill. Visible as a circular feature on aerial photographs (GSIAP: H, 76-7). This is a grass-covered circular area (int. diam. 21m) defined by an earthen bank, which is best preserved (Wth 3m; H 0.25m) W-N, and slight traces of a fosse visible as a band of reeds. The original entrance is not identified. A rectangular enclosure (dims 21m N-S; 12m E-W), defined by an earth and stone bank (H 0.6m), is just to the NW and is probably a small field.
