No visible trace remains of the circular enclosure on the lower south slopes of Mount Eagle. Four clochauns once filled its interior, waiting for people who have forgotten how to see them. The fort disappeared because human memory withdrew, not because stone vanished.

The circular enclosure marked on the 1st edition of the OS map no longer survives. Four clochauns were marked in the interior and the site was named 'Fort' on the Fair Plan.
