Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Dually is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Dually, County Tipperary, Ireland. It occupies a steep southeast-facing slope in gently undulating pasture. A roughly circular area measures 28 metres northeast-southwest and about 29 metres northwest-southeast. A low bank defines the northeast and northwest sides, while dense overgrowth hides the northwest and northeast sections.
In gently undulating pasture, on a steep SE-facing slope. Roughly circular area (dims. 28m NE-SW; c. 29m NW-SE) defined by low bank (overall Wth 5.5-7.7m; Wth at top 0.65-0.85m; int. H 0.45-0.95m; ext. H 1-1.2m) NE-NW; Not seen NW-NE due to dense overgrowth. Entrance gap (overall Wth 7m; basal Wth 4m) at SE. Fosse (overall Wth 4.7m; basal Wth 1.5m; D 0.3m) NE-SE and SW-N; small stream skirts SE-SW as depicted on latest edition OS 6-inch map. Fosse not seen N-NNE due to impenetrable growth of vegetation and is possibly backfilled at NNE. Outer bank (overall Wth 2.75m; Wth at top 1.3m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.35m) NE-SE is reduced to bank (overall Wth 1.9m; Wth at top 0.4m; int. H 1.1m; ext. H 0.65m) SW-NW. Interior is ungrazed with occasional whitethorn and has a dense growth of furze to E.
