Fairy fort in Dromore, County Cavan: a raised circular area about 32 metres across, enclosed by a substantial earthen bank and a fosse, with a break at the east that probably marks the original entrance. People may have lived there, defended it, or simply avoided it after dark. The earth still holds the shape of a choice made long before cameras or inventories.
