Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Doonogan

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Doonogan holds a forgotten ringfort where clay and stone still mark the boundary between human life and fairy temptation. The fort is not a vague legend but a shaped place, built to be seen, entered, defended or remembered. Its true age and purpose have faded from local memory, yet the ground keeps the shape of the choice made there.
