Doonmore holds a faded ringfort where clay and patience built a small defensible world. It is the kind of place people still call a fairy fort, not to dismiss it but to admit that the living hand has vanished while the shape remains. A family may have stood inside that circle, listening for danger or arguing about bread, before forgetting the name of the first stone.
