What is recorded here

Thirty-five metres of forgotten boundary still curves through Demesne pasture, marking a life lived before roads cut across it. The scarp and bank have resisted forgetting even when human hands dumped stone and soil into the circle. What was built there is no longer certain, but the shape remains clear enough to imagine: a small world drawn in earth, later interrupted, still holding its line.

In pasture, on gentle SE-facing slope. Circular area (diam. c. 35m) enclosed by scarp (H 0.5m) N->SSW; earthen bank to E for c.2-3m (int. H 0.5m). Interior truncated on W side by laneway; large mound of field clearance material dumped in site to NW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
