Fairy fort in Curragh West is a poorly preserved earthen ringfort on a grassy rise, its subcircular shape marked by a bank at the south and west and a shallow ditch at the northeast. It may have been a dwelling, a boundary or a place of ritual, but time has worn its purpose into ambiguity. The land still holds the ghost of a made shape, inviting imagination to complete what erosion has erased.

On a rise in gently undulating grassland. Very poorly preserved subcircular rath (N-S 35m, E-W 32m) defined by a bank from S to SW; elsewhere a scarp forms the enclosing element.
