Fairy fort, Cornhill: a ruined ring of earth and stone on a hillock in County Cork. Tradition, not proof, ties it to Dun Tulcha Aird and Finan, King of Fermoy. The banks are broken now, yet the circle still holds its shape above the pasture.

In pasture, atop hillock. Roughly circular area (51m E-W; 47m N-S) enclosed by earth and stone bank (int. H 1.2m; ext. H 0.9m); intervening fosse (D 0.5m); outer stone bank (H 0.5m) SW->S. Inner bank incorporated into field fence system S->SW. Both banks breached in several places; possible entrance (Wth c. 3.5m) to E. Interior nearly level, slightly lower to N; fosse-like feature inside and concentric to inner bank, varying in width and depth, appears to be quarry. This may be 'Dun Tulcha Aird', residence of Finan, King of Fermoy, which according to Power (1932, 22) is 'represented, approximately at any rate, by the present Cornhill'.
